The history of the club started in the years 2004-2008, when the club was officially founded and the construction of the course commenced.

The course was opened in 2008.

The golf resort is situated in the beautiful surroundings of the historic castle park in the English style, founded in the years 1821-1831 by Chancellor Metternich. The resort is gracefully set into the exceptional historical and natural environment with the backdrop of a classicist chateau.

The beautiful, 18-hole, fully irrigated course, labelled GENIUS LOCI, is with its design an unforgettable experience for most players. It is no accident that every hole has its own name and story. With its beautiful appearance and the quality of the playing areas, the course is ranked among the TOP courses in the Czech Republic.

The site was designed by the famous golf course designer, Christoph Städler, who made use of the Castle Park and the surrounding nature. By combining the traditional and modern elements, he managed to create a diverse and varied course in the parkland style. The course with its tee layout will satisfy all demanding golf professionals and amateur players as well as the recreational players. In addition to the course itself, all trainings areas are available.

Kynžvart golf course has in the years 2013-2016 undergone several major innovations, and together with the perfect service for the players, it can deliver a perfect golf experience.

Golf Club Kynžvart is located on the edge of the Slavkovský les, in the middle of five other courses ( Royal Club Mariánské Lázně, Karlovy Vary – Olšová Vrata, Golf Resort Cihelny, Golf Resort Františkovy Lázně and Golf Sokolov ), which are located within a 50 km radius of Kynžvart. The closest are the two oldest golf courses in the Czech Republic, which recall the period of Austro-Hungarian Monarchy – the golf courses in Mariánské Lázně and Karlovy Vary.

Out of service

It is obvious that no golf has been played here for a long time.

Not recommended at the moment

We chose the place based on a recommendation from friends, but we were seriously disappointed. So I can only agree with the two previous reviews.

All areas are in poor condition, the semi-roughs are poorly mowed and look more like rough, you can hardly find your balls. The fairways and greens are mostly in poor condition and the bunkers have not been maintained for a few days.

The paths are all in very poor condition and resemble washed-out hiking trails in the mountains. It was very wear-and-tear for our electric trolleys.

It's clear to us that we won't play this course again because we didn't like the layout either.
