Characteristics
Glasson Golf Club is one of the country's finest golf courses. The course is the work of legendary Irish golfer Christy O'Connor Jnr. It is an interesting and very challenging parkland course that enjoys quite magnificent panorama. The Irishman once said of his design: "One of the most scenic pieces of land I've ever seen in my life, with the first nine holes overlooking Lough Ree and the second nine Killenure Bay.
There is nothing I've seen that comes close to that." Visitors are welcome but advised to book in advance to avoid disappointment.

A great start to our Ireland tour!

Glasson Golf Club was the starting point for our almost two-week golf tour through Ireland.
Booking the tee time via email worked perfectly, and the check-in at the club's office was also very friendly and helpful.
The course itself was also good to play for us with a higher handicap and was therefore a lot of fun. It offers beautiful, expansive views of the landscape and Lough Ree in many places.
The terrain is hilly, with ups and downs - but the fairways usually remain wide enough so that you don't end up in the rough too often.
The greens were impeccably maintained and fast. The fairways suffered somewhat from the unusually hot and dry weather in July. However, this wasn't a problem for us – hence, 5 out of 5 stars right from the start and a 'hopefully we'll be back'.

Excellent maintained Place

We played the course on 13.07.2015 on our 8 day Ireland golf trip.
The fairways and greens are in tip top shape. The course is varied and offers fantastic views in phases. Noteworthy are the ingenious Par5 (Loch14) and the island green on Loch15.
