Established in 1893, Darwen Golf Club offers a unique golfing test characterized by two distinct halves. The front nine presents a scenic parkland layout bordering Sunnyhurst Woodland, requiring precision around water hazards. In contrast, the back nine rises into rugged moorland, where undulating slopes and stiff breezes challenge every golfer. The course offers panoramic views across Lancashire to the coast and features the iconic Darwen Tower. It is also celebrated as the home club of 1939 Open Champion Richard Burton.
