Fantastic Golf Course

This golf course is fantastic.
Reception friendly. Birdie book and tailor-made score card showing hcp and hole alignment.
2 good practice areas, one close to the clubhouse and one close to the first tee.
First 9 open and fair. Long par 4s and easier par 5s. Looots of space, hence you never get disturbed by players on other holes (never heard a "fooore" here).
Half-way house excellent with different hot and cold drinks and sandwich, cookies etc. Very nice staff.
If you think you are done after 9 you will learn that the back 9 are truly challenging, but awesome. Water everywhere, strategic bunkers, and veeery trick holes. Hole 17 is a gem that can not be found anywhere else. If you get through back 9 with your score card in order, you have really deserved a beer or a glas of wine in the excellent italian inspired club restaurant.

First of all, I must commend the reception in the secretariat.
I have rarely experienced such polite and courteous treatment since I started playing golf.
You arrive and immediately feel at home!
After check-in, a short walk to the first tee, and the view tells you:
DRIVER!!!
The holes are incredibly inviting. (Tip: Sometimes you should let your brain do its work and maybe choose a different club... ;-)) The course itself is hilly.
But very easy to manage on foot.
There are several parade holes.
I do, however, find the three lanes around the lake very beautiful.
If you don't realize on the green of the last "lake hole" that you left your wedge in the bunker of the previous hole...

Holes 17 and 18 are a highlight at the end.
Located in a rocky gorge. 17 18 with the beautiful view of the castle.
The restaurant service deserves separate evaluation:
Italian specialties, excellent pizzas and very friendly service.
The day was wonderful!
A definite recommendation.
