High performance for a high price

As the title suggests, the course isn't cheap. However, you certainly get a lot for your money. The layout is exciting, and the condition of the course (in August after weeks of heat) is perfect. I would even accept some compromises if it meant more environmentally friendly course maintenance. Since I don't have any information on that, I assume they've managed to balance environmental protection and course upkeep quite well. Contrary to previous reviews, I find the hilly layout to be pleasantly challenging. The hazards (bunkers, water) are excellently placed. Speaking of water: there are plenty of water fountains on the driving range and on the course itself, which is truly appreciated in August.

Excellent condition for this time of year

I played the course yesterday in fantastic weather and must say everything was in excellent condition. The greens were very fast and true. The bunkers had fresh, soft sand. The fairways were freshly mowed. The restrooms were very clean. All in all, it's on par with a Leading Golf Club of Germany.
The journey there was a little difficult due to the large number of visitors for the reopening of the Marienschlucht gorge.

Beautiful place with pitfalls

This course is very well-maintained with fast and difficult greens. In my opinion, I would say it's a bit too hilly; golf was invented on the flatlands. It winds beautifully and challengingly through a jungle-like woodland. The course often annoys you with challenging lies, and you find yourself uphill, downhill, or simply at an angle!
The receptionist is very friendly. At first, they couldn't provide us with a cart, but when one suddenly became available, they even ran after us. A cart is definitely recommended for all the elevation gain, and at least an electric trolley would be recommended.
The only drawback: an older couple, probably members of the club, was playing behind us, who were unteachable and reckless, hitting the ball up to 20 meters behind us. Very irritating!
4 instead of 5 stars only because of the many climbs.
