Fantastic Golf Course

This golf course is fantastic.

Reception friendly. Birdie book and tailor-made score card showing hcp and hole alignment.

2 good practice areas, one close to the clubhouse and one close to the first tee.

First 9 open and fair. Long par 4s and easier par 5s. Looots of space, hence you never get disturbed by players on other holes (never heard a "fooore" here).

Half-way house excellent with different hot and cold drinks and sandwich, cookies etc. Very nice staff.

If you think you are done after 9 you will learn that the back 9 are truly challenging, but awesome. Water everywhere, strategic bunkers, and veeery trick holes. Hole 17 is a gem that can not be found anywhere else. If you get through back 9 with your score card in order, you have really deserved a beer or a glas of wine in the excellent italian inspired club restaurant.

A golf course that has to be played!

Not a nice round

As guests and “good HCP golfers” we played the course for the second time, warm welcome at check-in. Disputes with members on the round, something like this has never been experienced before. On top of that, reprimands from the Marshall can certainly spoil the joy of playing.
We didn't act up, hinder anyone or keep anyone waiting. Are stunned. You definitely don't need it on a leading course.

Top site!

We played the course at the beginning of September 2023 and were thrilled. The first 9 holes are rather easy to play - the fairways are a little wider and the terrain is more open. The second 9 holes are more challenging and meander more through the forest. For us, hole 17 is the most beautiful hole on the course. The greens are undulating, stable and exciting to play. Always beautiful views of the castle - we like to come back!

Top level

Golf at the highest level is often one of the most effective advertising slogans for golf courses that are slightly elevated and secluded. What is meant, however, is the distinction of being one of "The Leading Golf Courses", which is only given to a few selected clubs. We are happy to confirm this at the Langenstein Castle Golf and Country Club. From the course to the training facility and the very qualified pro to the Italian restaurant, the motto "top level" is everything.

It doesn't get much better

I was allowed to experience the place early in the morning. At 6:30 a.m., gardeners had already freed the greens from the dew. Tees, fairways and greens are impeccable. Interesting tracks and spectacular views in a great natural landscape. Not much more is possible.

Great!

After a friendly welcome, you go from the club reception about 800m (almost level) to the first tee, then you're warm!
The first 9 lanes are in the best country style on a slight hill. The lanes running across the hill lead to almost no uphill, a great place to walk!
The front nine always provide spectacular views of the beautiful Langenstein Castle. Beautiful golf courses where you can run the driver and also score well. The back 9 holes then have more woodland character and are sometimes a bit more challenging to play. I found the 1-9 great!
You play between the loose meadows of apple trees and buzzards, falcons and hawks flew over the fairways. At the 3, about 15 storks rose into the air next to the fairway, that was almost a little much flora & fauna for an 18-hole round :-))) !!!
The 10&11 as well, the 12-14 lead framed by the forest around a large pond, also nice. 15 is extremely difficult and great, as is the par 3 on the 16. The 17 is an absolute eye opener!!! If I had to put together the 18 best holes in Germany, the 17 of Langenstein, which meanders through the gorge like a green mamba, it would definitely be there! The last hole goes slightly uphill right next to the castle along up to the green.
The last 50m felt like going vertically up to the putt surface. On top of the green, the castle is “almost” at your feet again! Finally, I would like to mention that the maintenance condition over 18 holes was spotless on the entire course!
The greens on this very hot July day were among the best I've played in Germany so far! Langenstein cannot compete against the top 10 of the old North and Central German (Sylt) courses, but it is worth every detour and is definitely one of the top 50 in our country! On Lake Constance, for me, it's number 2, just behind Constance, but that's purely a matter of taste! In general, Lake Constance with GC Weißenberg, GC Lindau, GC Konstanz and CC Langenstein is a great golf destination!

Golf the way you want it.

The golf course is beautifully integrated into the landscape.
It starts on slightly hilly terrain. the first nine holes are rather wide open, with a little too few obstacles. Nevertheless, a failure in the rough spoils the result for sure. the second nine, in a wooded area and through a very beautiful gorge, is much more demanding because it is a bit narrower. the place is easy to manage on foot. great sand in the bunkers, top fairways and greens that are nicely undulating.
Halfway house with coffee break, toilets on the way and a pleasant clubhouse are part of the service. green fee and offer match.
All in all, including a scenic view of the castle and foresight, a beautiful golf destination.
Gladly again!

Am thrilled!

Have already played a few places in Germany and can say that it is one of the best of them.
Could play with a Swiss club member - ... thanks for the nice round.
The course increases until the final of the last 4 holes. The absolute highlight for me are the 15-18.
But the front nine are also convincingly designed and beautiful to play.
Even if it is e.g. At times everywhere is very dry, both the greens and fairway are in great condition. Spirches for greenkeeping.
The surrounding (castle view, changing room, shower, etc.) is worthy of a LGC!

In the top 20

We played a round here for the first time in 1993, almost simultaneously as in Bad Schachen and Konstanz.

Our golf experiences were modest at the time - we had only been playing for 5 years. The whole area, the teas, the fairways and the greens impressed us tremendously. This is how we imagine the courses in the golf home...

Since this year, we have put our teas into the ground almost a dozen times in the places mentioned. In addition, everyone else around Lake Constance came along, we always played Langenstein when we were in this region.

The open, partly quite hilly - especially at the beginning of the round - terrain ensures sportiness, physical and playful. The first nine reveal a view of the grounds, the second nine lead through a lot of forest, past the ponds and through a small gorge back to the clubhouse. This place is particularly beautiful in spring - or summer when the rough is high.

Great layout, great greens.

The condition of the system was almost always perfect, which means that you have to do some work in the spring or late autumn.

For us this is the best facility around Lake Constance.

He has been listed in the top 100 of Germany for years, and rightly so, we believe.

Nice varied

The condition of the place was excellent except for the places destroyed by the crows. Only the holes around the lake (backnine) were so wet that you would have locked at least one hole better. Alternatively, you could have sent a marshal, who would have alerted the many sad sinners, the deep divots back again.

Due to maintenance work (all women's haircuts are completely renewed, some greens extended) we were correct to receive a reduced green fee. The fun was only marginally impaired. Great the cleaning service after the round.

The design of the backnines is convincing due to their variety, the level of difficulty and the scenic beauty. The frontnines are both simpler and a little simpler. Despite height differences you can walk the place well.

The staff was very friendly from AZ. In the restaurant we had a somewhat obtuse service. With the help of the boss but everything worked. The menu is very attractive (Italian), the service fast and the quality ok to good (focaccia, spaghetti gamberetti and tagliatelle salmon). With salt was very generously handled...

Not to be missed

Even if the region is not a golfing center, this place is worth a visit. Front and Backnine have a completely different layout. The backnine with castle and rocks are more imposing, whereby the view on the first 9 holes also has its charm. The place condition is priced good. The place is overall challenging and varied. The secretariat is friendly and professional, as is everything here. The Halfwayhaus really invites you for a short break, but it is not mandatory.
PS: Who makes holiday here in the vicinity, should also plan the 9 hole course as a practice unit. Great view and class opportunity to practice the short game.

Well maintained, interesting place in good condition

One of the most beautiful in southern Germany - as stated at the beginning - he is not in my opinion, however, when compared with Bavarian Voralpenplätze. The price-performance ratio is borderline.
What is missing are the descriptions of the courses at the teas and hints on the next tea (not a big problem, since one erthält a free birdie book in the very friendly secretariat). The paths from one hole to the other are sometimes a bit long.
However, the arrogant, senior teacher Marshall at the starter house really upset me on June 6th, 2018. Also, the regulation of a compulsory break of 10 minutes after the hole 9, I've never experienced (as the gastronomy should be supported?).
Overall, though, you can definitely play a nice round of golf!

Wonderful place in the Bodensee region and a must play!

I live for 20 years on Lake Constance and know all the places in the region very well. For me, Schloss Langenstein is the most beautiful of them all. On the one hand, it is playfully challenging and has by far the best and best maintained fairways and greens.

The place is not very cheap in price, which certainly has to do with the proximity to Switzerland where just a higher price structure is available. But he is really worth his money.

The front 9 are beautiful, but the back 9 are spectacular. Here especially the hole 17 where you have to play through the gorge of the "Langenstein". Above all, precision is what counts here. However, this hole has a very special atmosphere for me - almost mystical, which you can rarely experience on a golf course.

For me, one of the golf courses in the world that deserve the "Must Play" criterion!

Fantastically

I was in the course of a cure and have the place in fantastic weather played. Wonderful landscape, challenging, tough rough, fairways like a carpet. Highly Recommended. For this I went with a wonderful couple on the round. Thanks again.
A little tip to the club leadership. Signs with "next tee" would be helpful. Apart from that, everything was really great.
Greetings from the estate Dreihof.

Beautiful Place

Langenstein is a beautiful place, especially the second 9 are scenic with water and a spectacular hole below the castle.

Should have played.

Green fee is a bit high, but due to the proximity to Switzerland is not unusual.

Great Place with toughem Rough

Scenic so with the most amazing thing I have long been played. The roughs are unfortunately Zeckendurchseucht so you pay for his bad imprecise strokes with Ball tribute. The greens were despite a long period of rain in super shot.
Clubhouse and reception very friendly. And with luck, you will be accompanied by chunky Labrador of Earl Douglas, who seems to know well the place.

Golfers Dream in Lake Constance near

Beautifully situated, friendly service, very well maintained, moderate and interesting for all leagues - that's how this very special and counting to the most beautiful places on Lake Golf Course describe summarized. Here, the second 9 holes was an absolute dream and run through a canyon (precise game wise) up almost to the forecourt of the castle. When the clubhouse is rebuilt, right here just about anything!

Friendliness and course maintenance impressive

I played today the square at just 35 degrees C. Several things were impressive:
Despite long dry phase is the place in very good condition. It was striking that the greens have probably received a special care. A real pleasure!
Upon arrival I was very friendly served in the Secretariat. The lady even came with me to the house and told me and shown where I need to go and what to consider. Great service!
The spent clubhouse is being rebuilt. But there are very spacious and clean sanitary facilities available. I was there did not bother that you have to avoid at the moment.
Also from Greenkeeper up to Sammy, the host at HalfWayHouse, everything was perfect and very friendly. It should be emphasized that the Greenkeeper wait while punching. This can be found, unfortunately, not too often.
When writing about my positive experiences I almost forgot that the place has pleased me very well. First-time players should definitely take a Birdybook and ideally play in a flight with Club members. I was lucky enough to have both, which saved me a few strokes. The course is demanding and varied. The last 9 holes are a dream, visual and playful. I am thrilled and will be back!

Super Site

Top condition, well maintained, large driving range, varied and interesting holes.

Unfortunately, the club house is after the fire last fall not yet created again (only a small wooden hut).

Great variety in singing

It's a great place with very good manicured fairways and greens. The back nine to beat everything and are unique.
The first nine are, however unfortunately only normal and sometimes too open. This entry into the round can not be 5 points.

Also from Munich, the trip was worth it!

The course is nestled in a beautiful landscape, the fairways are lined with fantastically beautiful flower meadows and water lilies in the pond, at the end it's all about the high overhead lock around by the Langensteiner transverse valley with its bizarre limestone and with a rapid increase zum18. Hole.
The whole area is beautiful and well maintained course.

Great place with a varied, well-maintained fairways and greens. The views of the Alps and the many plants and flowers are beautiful. The hospitality is pronounced and the food at the 9-hole coffee and the restaurant is personal and delicious!
