Fantastic Golf Course

This golf course is fantastic.
Reception friendly. Birdie book and tailor-made score card showing hcp and hole alignment.
2 good practice areas, one close to the clubhouse and one close to the first tee.
First 9 open and fair. Long par 4s and easier par 5s. Looots of space, hence you never get disturbed by players on other holes (never heard a "fooore" here).
Half-way house excellent with different hot and cold drinks and sandwich, cookies etc. Very nice staff.
If you think you are done after 9 you will learn that the back 9 are truly challenging, but awesome. Water everywhere, strategic bunkers, and veeery trick holes. Hole 17 is a gem that can not be found anywhere else. If you get through back 9 with your score card in order, you have really deserved a beer or a glas of wine in the excellent italian inspired club restaurant.

The 10&11 as well, the 12-14 lead framed by the forest around a large pond, also nice. 15 is extremely difficult and great, as is the par 3 on the 16. The 17 is an absolute eye opener!!! If I had to put together the 18 best holes in Germany, the 17 of Langenstein, which meanders through the gorge like a green mamba, it would definitely be there! The last hole goes slightly uphill right next to the castle along up to the green.

The greens on this very hot July day were among the best I've played in Germany so far! Langenstein cannot compete against the top 10 of the old North and Central German (Sylt) courses, but it is worth every detour and is definitely one of the top 50 in our country! On Lake Constance, for me, it's number 2, just behind Constance, but that's purely a matter of taste! In general, Lake Constance with GC Weißenberg, GC Lindau, GC Konstanz and CC Langenstein is a great golf destination!
