Corballis Links Golf Club

Corballis, Donabate, Dublin, Ireland

Characteristics

Situated along the rugged North Dublin coastline, Corballis Links offers a distinct golfing experience steeped in over a century of history. This 18-hole links course is unique for its Par-66 layout, which prioritizes accuracy and course management over sheer distance. A highlight involves four holes redesigned by Ron Kirby in 2007 that run directly alongside the sea. Known for its excellent year-round condition due to sandy soil, the course provides a sharp technical challenge amidst spectacular dunes, supported by a recently renovated clubhouse.

Demanding par 66

Despite the par 66 with only one par 5 the course is not only quite natural and very beautiful but highly demanding. Several fairways are narrow or parted by high rough, easy to lose your ball forever. Distance control and club selection is essential, the wind can be challenging, but when you manage all that it´s a really great experience... and a great practicing possibility for any pro. The look of the seaside is stunning. Highly recommended.

A charming place

I love that course, a lot of "bang for the buck". I wish we could bring it with us home to Sweden.

Corballis Golf Club

I played Corballis with a friend of mine in May. The two of us went on a short golf excursion to the County Dublin area to play, and found Corballis on the web prior to departure. It looked intriguing on the website and we were not disappointed. While possibly a little unfair (several blind shots... in fact more blind than not, I believe!), it was an absolute blast and the scenery lovely! We did have a yardage book which helped but a forecaddie or experienced Corballis player would have been better. I would love to have another crack at it in the future. I would highly recommend playing if you go there. Just enjoy the round and don't get too hung up on score or where some shots may end up. The green fees were well worth the experience at around 25 Euro for a weekend and less on weekdays.
