Characteristics
Situated at the foot of the Cotswold Hills within an area of outstanding natural beauty, Chipping Sodbury Golf Club combines history with a mature parkland challenge. Although the club was founded in 1905, the current 18-hole Beaufort Course was designed by Fred Hawtree and opened in 1971. The layout is defined by mature trees and significant water features—lakes and waterways introduced in the 1990s—which have created a haven for local wildlife. While the terrain is pleasant to walk, the slightly raised greens demand accurate approach play. Extensive practice facilities, including a driving range and academy area, complement the experience. The substantial clubhouse, featuring a restaurant and bar, offers a warm atmosphere for post-round relaxation.

For Golfers playing later than normal closing times, we would be grateful if you could please book your table in advance. Bar Opening Hours: Monday to Saturday 09:00 – 21:00; Sunday 09:00 – 20:00. Kitchen Opening Hours: Monday to Thursday 09:00 – 17:00; Friday 09:00 – 18:00; Saturday 09:00 – 18:30; Sunday 09:00 – 16:00.

A member of our staff will be more than happy to help you with your enquiry or purchase but please be aware that we only accept a debit or credit card for any purchases. Buggy, electric trolley, and push trolley hire available with varying prices for members and visitors. Range balls also available. Deposit required for buggy and electric trolley hire. If the club shop is closed, range tokens are available to be purchased from the Clubhouse Bar. Please refer to the Buggy Policy and Adverse Weather Conditions Policy on the website.

Coaching covering all aspects of the game, individual lessons with optional video analysis, tailored coaching programmes, putting lessons, and junior lessons. One-to-one and group coaching available. Private lessons range from £20 for 30 mins (junior) to £60 for 90 mins (playing lesson). A 24-hour cancellation policy applies, or 50% fee will be charged. Drivers are not permitted for use on the driving range.
