Good course, poor caddiemaster service/ rental clubs

Played the mastercourse yesterday, course itself was in good condition.
I and my son rented the clubs from the club... Each set contained 7 clubs, and where charged 20€/ set. Caddiemaster selected the clubs for us, and result was that four of the clubs where junior- clubs, one of the club shaft was broken. In my opinion we where robbed with the club rental. I advice that You have Your own clubs with you when are going to play this course.

I played both the short course and the big course.
The short course is one of the best short courses I have ever played. I was there with my kids. You don't need a license to play there and the course has both short par 3s and longer holes where you can tee off with the driver. Plus lots of water. A top spot for beginners.
The big square is nice too. Lots of big water hazards, varied doglegs and one or two climbs. The price is also reasonable.
The greens were extremely fast on both courses. It was very difficult for me to adjust to this, because you are not really used to such fast greens in Germany. But of course it is a matter of habit and many people like it.
All in all, both courses - depending on the level of play - are worth a visit.

We played the master course at the beginning of April 2021. You could see that a lot of maintenance work was in progress on the facility. Including brand new ladies tees. Unfortunately, the greens were infested with fungus, as has unfortunately also happened to other clubs (Lüdersburg) in the region.
Regarding the layout, I would share Hewo's previous assessment. It is sometimes quite tight on lanes 1-9; often visual contact with neighboring fairways. Nevertheless, there are great railways such as, for example, Bahn 3, which strategically open up several options.
At some tracks (10.18) you can feel the background noise of a nearby country road; elsewhere, the hotel / sports facilities and other properties are fairly close to the greens. That tarnishes the overall impression a little. A part of the original short course has recently been sacrificed to new buildings. At the time of our round you could also see the further development of a new building area in the immediate vicinity of the golf course (bulldozers). Not surprisingly because of the influence of the club president - who is also the owner of a property developer.
If you don't mind the environment, you will find a well-maintained golf course with a modern design, which plays like a links course due to the often hard fairways. Despite the slight weaknesses on the first lanes, the layout was able to convince us overall.
In our experience, the service team is always very friendly and solution-oriented.
