Carlskrona Golfklubb

Almö, S-373 34 Nättraby, Sweden

Characteristics

Situated on the scenic island of Almö within the Blekinge archipelago, Carlskrona Golfklubb offers a spectacular golfing experience entirely inside a nature reserve. Originally inaugurated in 1959, the 18-hole course has been modernized by architect Christian Lundin, introducing strategic bunkering and water features. The layout is defined by the surrounding Baltic Sea, where coastal winds frequently challenge the golfer’s strategy. With on-site cabins, a restaurant, and extensive practice facilities, the club provides a complete retreat in a peaceful maritime setting.

Interesting golf course directly by the sea

Played the golf course for the first time on June 18,2024.
When you drive into the parking lot, the first thing you see is the clubhouse and the fantastic view of the sea.
The fairways were in good condition, as were the greens, which were also very fast. The course is not very varied, however, most of the holes are straight. Some par 3s are challenging, for example holes 3 and 15 with the water behind the green require precise play. The unique view of the sea compensates for bad shots.
As I have noticed on other Swedish golf courses, there is not much emphasis on practice facilities. Perhaps the Swedes are so good that they don't need to practice much.
All the staff were very friendly and helpful.
The location of the course by the sea is something special and you should play it at least once.

Interesting place with lots of interesting views and photo opportunities.
Worth doing twice with golf. Was worth a detour for us.
There is also a WOMO parking space with electricity
