Played on August 9,2026. The 19-hole course is located approximately 4 km from the seaside resort of Heringsdorf-Ahlbeck, in the far east of the island, in absolute peace and quiet surrounded by nature, separated from the Polish border only by a forest. The access road from Ahlbeck is signposted and connected to the Dorint Hotel. However, if you are coming from the other direction, you won't see the sign. In that case, turn right immediately after the Dorint Hotel. The golf reception is not in the hotel but in a separate building with a café/restaurant and its own small parking lot. The Polish employee at the golf reception was friendly but rather taciturn. She offered no explanations. She took our green fee, printed an invoice, and retrieved the requested golf cart from the underground garage. We had reserved a tee time for 2:30 pm on a Sunday afternoon via email. The tee time was confirmed within 24 hours. Online reservations are not possible. However, we wouldn't have needed a tee time anyway, at least not on that sunny Sunday. The course was very quiet. We were even able to start 30 minutes early, didn't get caught up in the queues, and were only overtaken on the 16th hole by a pro playing alone. The standard green fee of €70, regardless of the day, is actually quite reasonable. As guests of the "Oase am Haff" holiday resort, we received a 30% discount. This was a good thing, as the course's condition was rather mixed. The fairways were mostly very dry. Some greens, though not all, had holes caused by fungal growth, and some tee boxes resembled a plowed field. The bunkers were a positive point. The sand wasn't the finest, but playable. The course layout is quite interesting and varied. There are narrow and open tee boxes. However, there are only two tee box options (yellow and red). Doglegs, water hazards, well-placed bunkers, and elevated tee boxes (holes 9 and 18) make for an exciting game. On hole 5, there's a large rough area with very high grass just before the green, right in the middle of the fairway. The course has 19 holes. Hole 0 is the Mulligan Hole, an uphill par 3. Only after that do you reach the first tee. You're playing Baltic Hills, so as the name suggests, it's quite hilly. You can walk the course, but a cart (€35 and not the most modern) definitely makes sense, especially for those who aren't particularly athletic. Higher handicappers should use the forward tees, while beginners might find it challenging, mainly due to the sometimes very high rough. And there are indeed quite a few mosquitoes on the course, especially around holes 2 to 4. They're aggressive; you can buy mosquito repellent at the golf reception. The restrooms at the golf reception are modern. There's a toilet block at the 7th tee. However, it's useless if it's locked. So, you'll have to wait until you reach the 9th green, when you're back at the clubhouse. However, you then have to cross the 18th fairway before reaching the green. The signage could also be improved. Here and there, you'll find a stone with a number and an arrow. We noticed that the tee markers are currently being replaced. Those wanting to play golf on Usedom have two clubs to choose from. Baltic Hills is actually the newest course on the island; in conclusion, it's certainly worth playing if you happen to be on Usedom, but it's not a must.

Played on May 23,2025, after several weeks of little rain. Yes, there is mole damage, scattered blades of grass in some of the many bunkers, and, of course, some fairways affected by the aforementioned drought. Nevertheless, we would describe the course as being in decent condition. The three greenkeepers are doing an exceptional job considering the challenges!
In our opinion, the layout of the course is significantly more interesting than its neighbor in Balm. Each hole has a distinctive character and is memorable. Numerous well-placed bunkers, the elevation changes, and, of course, the constant wind are the dominant challenges. Add to that the numerous slopes and the occasional "blind shot." The reddish Rogh was still playable in May; the green Rogh less so. With a bit of course management and luck, ball losses are kept to a minimum. Things can be very different in the summer, however.
The driving range, with some newer mats and acceptable balls, still leaves some room for improvement in terms of design. We didn't find a pitching green or a chipping green, but we did find a split-level putting green.

All the staff were very friendly and flexible. The coffee and cake in the restaurant were delicious.
Those who don't expect a manicured space but instead enjoy a very interesting design will not be disappointed. For us, it's a "must-play" during a Usedom vacation.
