Welcome to Älmhult and our golf course. Älmhult - home of IKEA
Situated in the heart of the Småland forests, Älmhults Golfklubb offers a genuine experience of the Swedish countryside. Established in 1975 on the historic grounds of Äskya, the 18-hole course blends parkland and woodland elements, framed by traditional stone walls and mature trees. The layout is known for being technical rather than purely long, requiring strategic play to navigate the varied terrain and occasional water hazards. The club preserves a friendly, down-to-earth atmosphere, reflecting its location in the Linné district. Recent additions include a state-of-the-art TrackMan simulator for year-round practice. Visitors can also make use of the on-site caravan parking and a cozy café in the clubhouse for post-round relaxation.

The greens were good, the restaurant was very good and the design was good, but that was it, fairways and tees were poorly maintained and the colleague in the office was not really service-oriented..
Thanks to the design (integration of the large Smaland boulders) and restaurant then the three stars.

The fairways and the tees has not still not recovered from the draught earlier this year, where all water resources was spent on the greens. We will be forced to bring in extra machines to add new grass seed in the ground later in the season.
We hope that you will give the course another chance another time.
