Characteristics
Situated on a heathland plateau in Staffordshire, Whittington Heath offers one of England’s most authentic golfing experiences. Originally established in 1886, the course is renowned for its 1927 Harry Colt design. Recent updates by architect Jonathan Gaunt in 2022 seamlessly integrated five new holes, preserving the layout's classic character. The free-draining sandy soil ensures excellent playability all year round. A modern clubhouse, opened in 2019, provides panoramic views and contemporary dining, perfectly complementing the club's rich heritage.
