Spectacular location on the cliffs, hidden gem.

We were on our way home from Scotland when we stopped in Whitby. The location of the golf course aroused our interest, and as visitors to the campsite opposite, we paid a full £ 25 green fee for two people. The first three holes are still a bit boring and drag around the clubhouse, but then it gets spectacular, with a few holes right by the sea, including a small bay that (at least from the white teas) has to be covered. In the further course you have to cover a small valley, which then has to be crossed over a small suspension bridge. The next tee is on a former locomotive shed, now only recognizable as a high grass hill. There are some holes across the street, which do not offer a great view, but are long and difficult to play. On the way back it gets interesting again, the gorge has to be overdriven again. All in all a special golf experience that you should definitely experience. The club is probably in financial trouble, it would be granted a few additional green fee players.
