Characteristics
Established in 1879, Tyneside Golf Club holds the title of the oldest inland club in the North East. The current layout was designed by the legendary Harry S. Colt in 1911 and is renowned for its strategic design. Perched high above the River Tyne, the course offers spectacular valley views and excellent natural drainage. A unique test awaits on the four par-3 holes, which face different compass directions, ensuring varied wind challenges. The historic Edwardian pavilion clubhouse adds to the charm.
