Characteristics

The Montgomerie Links Vietnam is a world-class semi-private golf club. While the golf course, the clubhouse, and the driving range is open to the public, there is also a limited number of private memberships available.

The Montgomerie Links, located just off breathtaking Ha My Beach and minutes from Da Nang’s international airport on the Central Coast of Vietnam, is a stunning 7200 yard, Par 72 Championship Golf Course moving boldly over a striking landscape of wispy casuarina pines and sand dunes. Eight-time European Tour Order of Merit winner and 2010 European Ryder Cup Captain Colin Montgomerie — better known as Monty to his worldwide fan base — has massaged massive greens and rippled fairways into the stunning backdrop, setting up an experience he believes will rank among the world’s finest.

The money is no longer worth it!

We played all the courses in and around Da Nang in November 2023. All the courses were just not convincing. What happened? The main road causes a lot of noise and there is construction going on around the square, creating noise and the smell of burning construction waste. But the place is also in poor condition. There are consistently unmotivated employees here. This also has a strong impact on course maintenance. Management seems likely to be responsible here, this as an example of a lot of nonsensical rules. So as a couple we weren't allowed to share the balls on the driving range!!! We were also not allowed to do test swings on the mat without purchasing expensive DR balls. This went on continuously. We recommend skipping this course and playing the other courses, such as Ba Na Hills. The quality of the course was disappointing, from the tee boxes to the greens. The bunkers in particular were extremely bad, but instead of making them you just put a blue post in them! No thanks.

Typical Montgomerie

The resort has essentially standard. Clubhouse, driving range, puttin and chipping facilities of the finest quality. The course is a challenge for all levels. Typical Monti just.
The service in the restaurant should be better for the caddies are above average. No wonder then, we have watched a training of caddies. A must for every Danag visitor.
