Disappointing

Played the Championship course just before the Ryder Cup in September 2023.
A bit disappointing really. The original RTJ jr design has been butchered so the opening 6 holes or so have come from I guess the old 9 hole course. My GPS couldn’t pick these first few holes even though it’s up to date.
The course in parts is surrounded by a building site. The new club house has a cold atmosphere, no food available other than sandwiches. Its too big and corporate for my taste!
The course itself is ok but not brilliant. You get the impression that the owners are more interested in diverting what capital funds they have to the building project, very muxh to the detriment of the course. The buggypath is dangerous in places.
I won’t bother to return when next in the area. There are much better golfing experiences neatby.

I immediately protested because we were being rushed around and were able to overtake two slow flights. Even though it started slowly, birdies on 1&2 were easy. The back nine, which is inherently easier, is much more difficult. On the course you can enjoy an extremely beautiful view of the Roman hilly hinterland.
The place is absolutely recommended. The only downside: The beer cart girl was a man.

Extensive exciting golf course

On September 24th, 2021 we (Hcp 11 and 9) played this very spacious course. The balls on the wide DR are free. The clubhouse is modern, with fitness equipment. The lanes are long, wide and with well-placed bunkers around the greens. Good tactics are also required on the first nine thanks to water hazards. The complex is well maintained with fast greens, but without a drinking water fountain. The paths between the tracks are a little longer than usual, but you can still play with handtrolleys on foot. We can highly recommend the place.

As an introduction: I played the course at the beginning of January 2020,2 days earlier: Olgiata GC - so I played a direct comparison place in the vicinity... and: the comparison is catastrophic for Terre di Consoli. I see the approaches of Trent Jones, but on the one hand there are construction defects, on the other hand the thing obviously got out of hand after construction. First, the yellow tees are often too far back - especially the uphill holes are frustrating (just to classify: I play a stable drive between 220 and 230m), playing a par is almost impossible. The paths between the holes are tw. eminent, especially tiring with a carrying bag. The roughs were apparently freehand created by the course operators - whereby we are already on the condition of the course: the fairways are unkempt, partly. bumpy and holey, processed by wild boar, with swampy spots. More than half of all pre-greens were dug up by wild boar, so that there was a wall around 1m wide and 30cm high around most greens. The cleaners obviously had no desire to fix that every morning, after the drying traces of these excavations, nothing has been repaired for at least a week. The bunkers are filled with construction sand, like concrete. Discounts completely neglected. The order of the holes had been changed the day before, so the signposting was confusing, the paths are gruesome, the condition of the amenities is "under construction", it starts at the parking lots and ends at the unfinished clubhouse. A very unpleasant game day, maybe better in 5 years, so "under construction" - I would say: stay away - plays Olgiata!!!

The dryness was mainly due to the condition of the haircuts. Nevertheless, for a good tee it does not need a "velor carpet". The greens are big, not easy to read.
As a tenant of an apartment you get 50% Grenn-Fee discount.
The training facilities are ideal for a golf stay.
Conclusion: the visit was worthwhile.
