Perched high on the southern edge of the Cotswold Escarpment, Stinchcombe Hill Golf Club offers a historic golfing experience dating back to 1889. The course, shaped by renowned architects Fred Hawtree and James Braid, is famous for its stunning panorama over the Severn Valley—once described by Henry Longhurst as among the most scenic in Europe. Despite its hilltop location, the terrain is surprisingly flat, ensuring a pleasant walk without major inclines. The site is designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest due to its rare flora and fauna. Excellent natural drainage allows for year-round play, offering a challenging test on firm turf regardless of the season.
