Designed by former Ryder Cup player Dave Thomas, South Winchester Golf Club offers a distinctive inland links experience on the chalk downs of Hampshire. The quick-draining terrain ensures excellent year-round conditioning. The 18-hole championship layout features two loops of nine, both returning to the clubhouse, and is punctuated by seven strategic lakes. The signature 15th hole, played over water, is a highlight. Off the course, the hunting lodge-style clubhouse provides a relaxed atmosphere with a terrace overlooking the final green.

This place really surprised us! From the reception to the clubhouse, everything was very friendly, very family-like and extremely well maintained.
We played the course for the first time in October 2024 and it was in impeccable condition. The fairways are well maintained, the greens are fast and true to the line. A real gem that we discovered by chance and will visit again.
Definitely worth a visit if you're nearby. Easy online reservation, guests are treated like members.
