Characteristics
Founded in 1887, Seaford Head Golf Course offers a spectacular mix of downland and links golf atop the cliffs of East Sussex. The course is renowned for its breathtaking panoramic views of the Seven Sisters and Seaford Bay. A highlight is the signature 18th hole, featuring a dramatic 150-foot drop from tee to fairway. Steeped in history, the site sits on an ancient Saxon camp. After the round, the modern clubhouse provides state-of-the-art facilities and a restaurant with commanding coastal vistas.

A GREAT course to play
5.0 of 5 starsReviewed June 21, 2018
Seaford Head should be on EVERY golfers BUCKET LIST..
It is a really fabulous course to play in the most beautiful coastline scenery. The only place I've ever given a 10 in a review for the course itself.
It is a MUST for any golfer that wants to play a great course.
When we played, the weather was perfect and the course was in very good condition indeed, both tees, fairways, bunkers and greens. However keep your ball within the generally generous fairways.. if you don't just reload and shoot again.. you won't often find it.
It's a course where you will remember many of the holes for quite a log time.
There are a number of blind shots in the fairway, so you need to play it more than once to have chance to make your best score.. however it allowed me to come in with a very satisfying 89.
The course is very hilly course, with the 18th, a par 5 way up on a cliff, with the tee-shot dropping a couple of hundred feet and still dropping all the way to the green in front of the modern clubhouse. However it's far far nicer to walk the course instead of running around in a buggy.
And to top it all... it's CHEAP!
Just 18 ponds for 60+'ers in the week.. it's worth 12 stars for value for money.
Seaford Head is topping my list of 'return to' courses.
Magnificent 18th hole, and great value for money!

This course boasts a number of very spectacular holes, most prominently the 18th, with a huge elevation change down from the tee, parallel to the sea and cliffs!
It might not always be in the best shape, but the value for money is really outstanding.
