Characteristics
Established in 1887, Seaford Golf Club holds the title of the oldest club in Sussex. Situated on the edge of the South Downs National Park, the current course was designed in 1907 by five-time Open Champion J.H. Taylor. As a classic downland course sitting on a chalk base, it offers exceptional natural drainage, ensuring playability year-round. The 18 holes provide commanding views over the Sussex coast and the Rathfinny vineyards. While the terrain features rolling fairways and fast greens, the gradients are gentle enough to walk comfortably. The 17th hole is widely regarded as the course's signature challenge. Unique to the club is the on-site "Dormy House" accommodation, complementing the clubhouse and practice facilities.
