I played this course on an overcast day as the club members held a match play competition, Ryder Cup style. They welcomed me with a smile and great kindness in their magnificent and cozy clubhouse. The course has a beautiful design, despite two holes with blind starts. Tees, fairways and rough in perfect condition, as were the greens, except for one that was ruined by mole cricket. The bunkers had little sand, but all in all were playable. Exciting scenery! I really had a wonderful day, ending with an excellent lunch at the Club House Restaurant.

Played 23 holes (par 72 and 5 executive) . I see birds and nice animals! Perfect and fast Greens, excellent semirough and fairways. Beautiul club House and swimming pool. New management from this year. Everything was perfect

The new 18-hole Championship Golf Course (Par 72) is highly intriguing thanks to its hilly terrain and the considerable difference in height between the holes. The very fast greens are nearly all protected by bunkers. The width of the fairways varies, with constantly changing degrees of difficulty and emotion. I played in January and the course was wet, but very good! The Club is situated in a valley over 300 metres above sea level in the neighbourhood of the same name, in the municipality of Castellarano. It is surrounded by over 150 hectares of woodland and green pastures and boasts 4 lakes. It is a setting where the scales undeniably tip in favour of nature and the top-quality services offered blend in perfectly with the surroundings. The beautiful clubhouse, which covers an area of over 3,000 square metres, stands between holes 9 and 18 and welcomes players and their partners in elegant and comfortable surroundings. Golf Course Details: 18 holes, par 72,6,200 metres, inaugurated last october. not to be missed! (I will return there in high season( April / October)

I played in San Valentino, with a golf car, in a rainy day last 18 october. Wonderful greens and wonderful fairways. The course is in the hill and every hole is nice. Tha landscape is marvelous. Excellent restaurant and restrooms. I played also in Modena, Bologna, Matilde, Salsomaggiore & le Fonti. In my opinion San valentino is the best course of all.

Wonderful! I played 36 holes (18 on tournament) in 2 different days. Golf course very interesting and well mainteined. Beautiful club house with confortable restrooms and good restaurant. Staff very friendly. In my opinion the best course in emilia with salsomaggiore

I was by chance in San Valentino in July 2010 with my family. I booked a departure the night before and the staff were very courteous to reserve a golf car for me. It was hot but much less than in Modena My family spent the day in the pool (beautiful) and I played the beautiful 18 holes. the course is difficult and varied. some holes invite to attack the very fast greens protected by deep. the first area of rough is very playable. the view is fantastic and the club house is very large and confortable. Some holes are partially blind, but no less beautiful. we spent a very nice day anf we dined very well.

I can only agree with many of the comments. The course is very interesting, probably not recognizable as a golf course from above between pastures and hills. We played without a cart, which requires physical fitness. The nature is fantastic, as is the view from some points. You can't always tell where to play. It is partly extremely narrow, thanks to trees, but also thanks to extreme slopes, from which the ball can fly or roll off-limits, into the forest or endlessly onto lower-lying, neighboring fairways. The quality is by no means top (greens, tees, fairways, bunkers) and the price is actually too high for that. Otherwise, the complex is "in the middle of nowhere" and seems quite dead. The rooms or apartments seemed uninhabited, and there was no restaurant either. If in doubt, we would play the course again (for a cheaper green fee), because it is an interesting challenge and offers beautiful views of nature. As a golf course, you have to make significant compromises in terms of quality.

...is not only the place but also the right review to write here! A very big one was planned, a huge clubhouse with a “club hall”, we had breakfast there because we were guests in the accommodation building next door. Breakfast, clubhouse, service perfect!
Large rooms incl. breakfast for €50 per night. The low price is based on the "old bathroom and the renovation backlog of the rooms". The very hilly course is located in a valley and in a great landscape that is framed by Tuscan foothills.
The layout is too difficult!
If you don't know the place it gets very, very tricky!
Without a car on a hot day and with no knowledge of space... phew!
Then you have to take a drinking water canister with you :-)!
We are all in top shape, but the e-car was a great investment :-)))!!!
The condition was generally poor on the entire system! Greens, fairway, rough and cart paths below average!
Of course you have to take into account the very, very hot summer and the hilly terrain!
In terms of landscape and design, the course is a feast for the eyes. The very quiet location of the entire resort and the very good food in the club would be very happy about a large investment in the layout of the place and in the entire facility including the hotel building and rooms!

We both, HCP 10, played here on October 5th, 2020. The DR is perfect for playing long hits. The first 9 lanes are narrow and require a lot of precision. Back Nine are more open, but just as varied. The entire facility is very generously integrated into the existing nature. The view of the hills is great. With a bit of fitness, the course can be mastered on foot, although the distances between the green and the tee are longer. The tees are ok, fairways good, the rough with alpine grasses is not always easy to play, greens are often small and not easy to play. If you love a challenge, you have to play here. We will be back.

I inquired at the start of my round the condition of the course and especially the greens were both me. Well as from the reception described, I broke out the green fee and booked the car, then what I expected defies description. The fairways burned bone dry with partially bald but mostly burnt grass, the greens were well and brown in the main color, the best were the unkempt haircuts.
After 5 tracks I finished the round, because golf is the place to do nothing.
