High above the historic mining valleys of South Wales, Rhondda Golf Club offers a truly elevated experience. Situated 1,000 feet above sea level, this rugged upland course commands spectacular panoramic views stretching as far as the Bristol Channel. Designed by the renowned J.F. Abercrombie and opened in 1911, the 18-hole layout (Par 70) embraces the natural wildness of the terrain. Players face a strategic test where the wind is a constant factor, playing over the tops of mountains with the winding rows of miners’ cottages lying far below.
