Characteristics
Many regard Rathsallagh as the best parkland course in Ireland. Several lakes and small streams meander their way accross the fairways. The undulating countryside creates the perfect golf terrain which proves a great test for golfers but is fair to all.

Very good course

We played here in 2003. At that time we were angry that we were not here at the first trip to Ireland. We liked it very much.
In the meantime, the owner has changed and they have worked a lot. Several holes are completely new or redesigned. There was no water at that time.
After almost two years of construction, the course was reopened in 2016.
The original Hole 10 is now Hole 1. The Bidriebook of that time has had its day.
The Ccourse was already one of the top 100 Irelands, today it is even further ahead.
It's great to play in an area dominated by agricultural land, it was great fun.

Concerning variety and challenge this place even Mount Juliet in the shade. We played both courses in October 2013. The much improved infrastructure of Mount Juliet is loosely balanced by the interesting and very well maintained course. Do not be put off by the appearance of the clubhouse - it is worth to play this course!
