Located on the outskirts of Barnstaple, Portmore Golf Park offers an interesting backstory, having transformed from a working dairy farm into a golfing destination in 1993. The Webber family has developed the site into a comprehensive facility featuring two courses. The centerpiece is the 18-hole Barum Course, a Par 71 parkland layout defined by its rolling terrain and strategic water hazards. Notable holes include the 8th, a par-3 played over water, and the 17th, which curves dramatically around a lake. While the 9-hole Landkey Course caters to the short game, the facility is modernized by a Toptracer driving range. The clubhouse, renovated in 2015, serves locally sourced cuisine, reflecting the venue's agricultural roots in North Devon.
