Characteristics
Established in 1897, Saunton Golf Club is situated in the spectacular Braunton Burrows in North Devon, home to one of the largest sand dune systems in England. This prestigious venue offers 36 holes of pure championship links golf. The East Course, designed by Herbert Fowler in the 1920s, is widely regarded as one of the finest in the West Country, having hosted numerous major amateur tournaments. The West Course, redesigned by Frank Pennink in the 1970s, offers an equally demanding test that requires strategic precision off the tee to navigate the undulating terrain. The clubhouse provides a relaxing environment with a patio offering views of the 18th green, perfect for reflecting on the round.
