yes, the ocean views are tempting for a good course rating, but that's not part of the golf. maximum rating to me is 3,5*. the only challenges on this hilly course are the up and down plays and the undulated greens. otherwise no trees, wide open fairways, some bunkers without any drama and some bushes and high grass on the sides. the *championship course*-argument seems to be mainly because of some long holes, if you play the back-tees. walking is not allowed and would be a bit tough, because of long walks between greens and next tee-boxes – typical real estate. there are better and less expensive courses around knysna. you pay for noblesse, but the course isn't.
Top condition, great view, hard

60 € for 2 people and cart - twillight fare at 14.30. Not all as excited as in pinnacle point - just as hard. Think, from HCP 36 well playable (4 different tee-offs per hole), great views and good bunker quality and landscape
We played the course at the beginning of November 2019, the view is breathtaking, but unfortunately the fairways as well as the greens were not in a top condition. We came directly from the Fancourt to the Petula, so difficult to rate the Pezula as a top, no comparison and worse for classes than the Fancourt places.
