Lovely golf & facilities

Our Society have played here three times now and have never been disappointed. None of your usual drive and wedge so familiar on the Algarve. Par 3 holes with SI 7,9,11 & 14 mean good mid iron shots required. The cuisine & service is that of what you'd expect from a Meridien hotel so all in all well worth a visit! Represents really good value compared to some it's over rated comparators... we will go for a fourth time next time in Portigal!

We were warned!

It's unbelievable what has become of this once beautiful and well-maintained course. If Sir Henry Cotton were still alive, he would forbid the owners from using his name to advertise these ragged tees, completely dried-up fairways, and absolutely sandless bunkers.
Only the greens remain as a reminder that this was once one of the premier addresses for well-maintained golf in Portugal. What a shame!

Waiting room

The entire golf course is run-down and poorly maintained. The tee times are so tight that as many green fees as possible can be sold. This meant that we had to wait ten minutes for the second hole. By the fourth hole, there were already four flights of us on one hole. It continued like this until we gave up in frustration on the ninth hole and abandoned our "waiting game." Definitely a "never again" course!
