The golf course was designed in the early 1970' s by the 3 times Open champion Henry Cotton (1934,1937 & 1948 ). Palacerigg Golf Club was formed in 1975.

Palacerigg Golf Club was founded in 1975 and provides a warm, relaxed and friendly atmosphere for golfers who enjoy both the competition and social aspects of the game.
