Designed by the legendary James Braid, the course is renowned for its distinctive two-tier greens and excellent year-round condition due to free-draining sandy soil. Notable as the home club of two Ryder Cup Captains, it combines sporting history with modern amenities. The clubhouse, opened in 2009, features a traditional snooker room and a restaurant with panoramic views over the fairways.
