The Navi led us to the range, which lies outside the village and not in the two places. The reception was very friendly; Especially that it has 3 club houses from 3 different clubs, beautifully arranged side by side; Each 1 club is available during a week for guest players of the host club. We played the Medal-Course in June 2017; A links course at its finest. Should I decide which place I would play again, Carnoustie or Monifieth Medal; I would play Monifieth again.
14 April 2017 we played the course 4 times in strong winds and dry weather. The fairways and greens were hard and fast. Tailwind some of the par 4 with a precise drive can be achieved. Usually only a wedge or even putter for the second shock necessary. Headwind wood or long iron is required for the GreenShot. Nevertheless, birdies hard because the greens were not directly playable. It had to pay the green shot always on the fairway to get to keep the ball somehow the green. Long putts were the result. Anyway, great and challenging links golf. The clubhouse very simple but very hospitable. Putting green and 2 networks available for driving. To Range you have to drive short and own balls bring that need to be collected again. We will be back...
