Perched at the highest point of the Isle of Cumbrae, Millport Golf Club offers a distinctive heathland experience defined by its spectacular surroundings. Founded in 1888 and reshaped by renowned architect James Braid in 1913, the course provides sweeping panoramic views of the Firth of Clyde and the majestic mountains of Arran. Though measuring just under 6,000 yards, the layout demands precision with several blind shots and challenging out-of-bounds areas on the opening holes. A welcoming clubhouse and driving range complete the visit to this scenic island course.

Great Wee Course!

I played Millport on a sunny day in May 2010 and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The course is in excellent condition - good fairways and well manicured greens. It's a fair challenge with some blind shots to play and a particularly intimidating par 3 12th hole. The views from the course over to Bute and Arran are quite spectacular. Well worth a visit.
