Characteristics
Mijas is indeed one of the most popular courses at the Costa del Sol. The fairways are very challenging. They offer a challenge for players of all strengths. The 13. hole at Los Lagos and the 14. At Los Olivos form the most characteristic and difficult hole of the course.
Both courses pay homage to the architect's philosophy "difficult par, easy bogey", with very little rough, plenty of water and is relatively flat.

wide fairways, no roughs, no way to lose balls. if you (man) don't mind to be forced to tee off from womens' tees on the front nine you'll love it. played los lagos on 13th dec. '13

We tried again with Mijas (Lake Course) after 3 years...
And it hasn't gotten any better, quite the opposite, in fact.
Fairways barely playable at best, sand bunkers still concrete.
At €65 for a pitch, it's cheap compared to other places in the area, but still not worth the money.
Anyone who gives this place 5 stars has probably made a mistake about the location or will have to explain themselves when they are asked to rate a real 5-star place.

This is a course for crude tourist golf. We didn't lose a single ball and found each one straight away. Too wide, no challenging bunkers etc.
We managed it on foot without any problems and without any effort. Friendly staff and in good condition. But just too easy.
