Located on the northern tip of Szentendre Island, Magyar Golf Club offers a distinctive golfing experience just 30 minutes from Budapest. Established in the early 1980s, this 18-hole Par 72 course covers 66 hectares within the scenic Danube Bend. The layout evokes classic English links courses with natural dunes and undulating fairways, yet is set amidst lush parkland vegetation. The front nine winds through forest groves, while the back nine challenges players with strategic doglegs. Amenities include a driving range and on-site accommodation in the club's pension.

Great place in a great location

I played the course in the middle of summer and the care was very good. The club house and the other building facilities are older but clean. The lady at the desk could speak broken english and was very uncomplicated.
The game play and the place altogether are about medium heavy. The price is very low, so there are also football golfer who use the place, but do not bother at all.
All in all, the frontnine is beautiful, the backnine loses its shape, but has only recently been replanted with landscape technology.
