Used to be good

This resort was always known as one of the best. To me it is now kind of old glory. I have to admit that in this hot weather they still keep it nicely green. Both courses are nice. With great holes especially 9th and 18th. They give opportunity to score. Greens were fast enough without bad spots. Fairways were not as good, also tee boxes were bit poor. There are huge amenities like welness and nice hotel. And thats were the good thing ends. Restaurants offer is horrible as well as service. Only the breakfast were good. When it come to hotel, I have to say that there is lot of mistakes in organization and they are not much customer oriented. The best is to comunicate only in german even they advertise communication in Czech and English. At the end we find the solution with manager, but we felt like not welcome. This resort is good for austrian retirement people.

It's gotten even better.

Golf destinations often become a bit dated over the years because improvements stop being made. This is different. Although the Fairway Suites, for example, are no longer new, they are impeccably maintained, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. The direct access from the suites to the underground parking garage is a brilliant design feature, and the suite's private golf cart is parked right outside the door. The main building and restaurant are very comfortable, and above all: wherever you turn, you'll find exceptionally nice, friendly, and helpful staff, many of whom come from neighboring Czechia. The new head chef has made the half-board option a real treat; if you were to find fault, it might be with the somewhat limited salad bar.
Now to the golf: The two on-site courses are leading courses, have hosted the European Tour (albeit some time ago...) and are very well-maintained, not overly difficult courses that provide enjoyment from start to finish. The lightning-fast greens are the biggest challenge, but otherwise, you can score well. The best way to appreciate the level of care put into maintenance is to compare it to the neighboring course in Monaco, which would also be very nice, but is poorly maintained. Nevertheless, a quick trip over in the cart is a fun experience; you shouldn't take your golf too seriously that day...
The packages offered are quite reasonably priced. A real treat for us every few years.

Very nice…..

First of all the hotel. Very friendly welcome. Nice clean rooms. Good food. A nice bar and a nice spa area. Both resort courses are very well maintained and leading. The greens are of tour level and very fast. :-)) The only thing that is the same in all of Upper Austria is the extremely high semi-rough. :-(( You can hardly find your ball in there.
