Located on Brynford Common in North Wales, Holywell Golf Club sits on a plateau 800 feet above sea level. Founded in 1906, the course is renowned for its "inland links" character, benefiting from a limestone subsoil that ensures soft turf and excellent drainage year-round. Despite its altitude, the layout is compact and avoids strenuous uphill climbs. Golfers are treated to panoramic views of the Clwydian Range and Snowdonia, often accompanied by local sheep grazing on the fairways. The signature 15th hole, "The Quarry," challenges players near historic limekilns. The welcoming clubhouse offers dining and relaxation after the game.
