Located near Søndervig in West Jutland, Holmsland Klit Golfklub offers a golfing experience defined by the raw nature of the North Sea coast. The 18-hole course winds through a rugged landscape of dunes, heather, and natural lakes. The prevailing west wind plays a significant role here, demanding strategic course management to avoid the out-of-bounds markers that line the eastern sides of several fairways. We played this course for the second time. The course itself is very well maintained. Fast greens and short fairways. The course is clear and very flat, which obviously makes it an easy course.
Take enough balls with you! There is not only water here, but also reeds, dunes and tall, dense grass. These eat up endless balls. The course is a real challenge, especially when it comes to the wind.
We will come back next year and try to reduce the number of lost balls again.

The flat course was today in a very good condition with fast greens with only moderate wind and about 20 degrees.
The reception at the club manager's office was friendly. We bought the Golf-Pas Westjylland again. 4x GF for 120 € and transferable, ie regardless of the person. You can play on six different courts with the pass. A great offer.
Despite an astonishingly large number of golfers on the course, it went quickly and we were much faster than the passage times on the scorecard had indicated.
There are sure to be rounds again where Holmsland Klit shows its teeth in the wind.
