45 holes near Nijmegen

Played the 18-hole course "de Nijmeegse" on July 16,2021. The 45-hole course is located approx. 35 km behind the German border a little south-east of the city of Nijmegen, in principle in peace and nature, only surrounded by a few country roads. The facility is divided into an 18-hole course (white / PAR 72) and 3 x full 9-hole (yellow / blue / red). I'm only rating the white course here because I only played that. First of all, it should be said that the picture on the homepage of the homepage does not correspond to any track on the wise course. The white course is not a links course but rather a parland course with mostly open tees. I have to admit that I was a little disappointed with the design of these 18 holes. Almost no train left an impression on me. Most of the lanes go straight. Hole 15 has the first and only real water hazard, where a nice view of the landscape is offered. On the 18 you should be careful with the second shot that the green is clear (blind shot). Otherwise, the space is rather flat and a cart is not really necessary. If you stay on the fairway, getting a good score shouldn't be that difficult. The condition was very good. The fairways had very little foreign growth and were perfectly cut. The greens here and there a little undulating were faithful and fast. As is so often the case, the haircuts could be moved more often, but that was fine too. After the rain, the bunkers were unfortunately not yet prepared in the afternoon either. The regular green fee is okay and depends on the day of the week. Mondays are the cheapest day, the weekend is more expensive. The clubhouse is functional, the lady at the counter was very friendly. A start time should be booked, which is also possible online via the homepage after registration. The game on a dry Friday afternoon was brisk but fluid. Unfortunately there was a flight on the 10th tee that wanted to start its round here, but let us pass. That was a bit incomprehensible when you have three more 9-hole courses where you can start playing. Due to the size of the facility, everything is of course a bit bustling and not every golfer greets everyone. However, like almost everywhere in Holland, the atmosphere is relaxed. Apparently, players with jeans are not a problem. After the round we ate something on the beautiful terrace of the restaurant in front of the pitch and putt area. The service was nice and fast and the food was okay, even if the selection could have been a bit bigger. I will be back and play the 9-hole loops, so I can recommend a round here, possibly combined with a visit to the city of Nijmegen.

Landscapically attractive, sporty demanding

Grüns unfortunately sanded, otherwise very good conditions. Come back to play the other 18-hole course.
