Characteristics
In immediate vicinity to Munich's city centre, the GolfRange München-Brunnthal, which is open all the year, offers two public 9-hole courses and a 3-hole course that can be played even without a license to play German golf courses ("Platzreife"). The holes of the golf course "Brunnthal" were modelled on world-famous examples. Additionally there is a first-class offer of training possiblities 365 days a year. On Munich's largest driving range with a length of 270 m and a width of 330 m, there are over 120 very well cared for grass tees. Furthermore, there are 15 roofed tees that are illuminated around the clock, where you can train. Three short game areas for chipping and pitching, three putting greens (partly illuminated) as well as a competent golfing school with four pros round up the offer. The public restaurant "5 Jahreszeiten" with sun terrace takes care of the physical well-being of the guests. The motto of the club is: Irish green, American service and Scottish prices!

Having played the Kirchstochach track about half a dozen times in 2009, I have always been made to feel most welcome by management, staff, members and greenfee players alike. The course has always been in excellent condition and, though not overly difficult, will nevertheless provide both novices and low handicappers with its challenges. Green fee prices are extremely reasonable and one always feels pleasantly satisfied after a round. The 19th offers one an excellent menu at affordable prices served with a smile on a south-facing terrace or should the weather dictate in a "gemutlich" restaurant.
I look forward to more enjoyable rounds here in 2010!

Very good range golf for beginners or easy going

4 stars for the overall system concept with the possibility of mass operation. 3 stars for the place.
Widest driving range I know. Lots of space to practice. So if you want to start, this is the right place. I played the bigger 9 hole Brunnthal. It's not a championship course. This feeling does not arise and was not expected. That was probably not possible due to the tightness and the concept. Unfortunately, I always see all secondary flights because of this. Despite my length, if not the fairway, I at least got the first cut, because I had slight safety concerns. Otherwise the place is surprisingly nicely done. Nice steep bunkers. Sometimes a few single trees are scattered about. Shoot over water if you want to take a short cut at hole 5? The par 5. Otherwise wide fairways in the landing area of the target group at 100-150 m. Due to the shortness, there are many long par 3s that were not long enough for a couple of 4s and the new golfers can not possibly meet in regulation - so they are played as a par 4. Cheap? With 3 over par on 9 holes I pull off 18 putts, I get 16 strokes for 29 €. So about 1.9 € / punch - as you can see, it's rather cheap for beginners... yes, I putted badly
