I managed to discover friendly Pro David Thomas, also originally from Brisbane Australia at this delightful, grassy & challenging course. Received great help hiring clubs & advice, enjoyed playing 3 rounds in damp & rainy conditions (April 2009).
Very much looking forward to return games in 2012 when course is to be extended to 18 holes.

The hotel features a 9-hole course, a driving range, and a large practice area. Further up the hill, approximately 1,500 meters away, the 18-hole course was built into the south-facing slope. There, you'll also find a driving range with practice facilities, as well as the impressive clubhouse with integrated restaurant.
The 18-hole course runs down the south-facing slope from the front and back 9th holes and then back up again. Wide fairways are framed by high rough. From tees, fairways, and greens, you can repeatedly glimpse the expansive surrounding countryside or let your gaze wander across the other holes. These meander uphill and downhill in a variety of ways, with numerous doglegs, elevated tees, large ponds, large bunkers, and large undulating greens completing the playing experience.
The impressive clubhouse towers above everything on the hill. The restaurant offers a modern wooden ambiance, and various outdoor terraces offer sweeping views of the golf course and the surrounding area. The action on the green on hole 9 and the island green on hole 18, in particular, invites you to linger for a while.
We stayed here for several days and also played the 9-hole course. It starts next to the driving range. The first few holes are quite narrow, sometimes running parallel up the slope. From hole 6, you again have expansive views over the golf course and the surrounding countryside, sometimes even extending to the 18-hole golf course. The course continues downhill and uphill again, crossing a stream. A double dogleg (hole 8) further increases the challenge. On hole 9, after the central pond, there's another blind shot over the large hilltop toward the green.
You can also round off the exciting round in a relaxed atmosphere in the beer garden of the “Gutsschänke” restaurant at the hotel.
Ideal for a multi-day golf break! A return visit is already planned!

We had been a member for a few years, had to take one year out for health reasons and now wanted to rejoin. But unfortunately that has now been done. Even though we were no longer members, we played golf at the chicken farm when our health was working again. So also on Sunday on the 9-hole course. When we were still using the driving ranch a little after the game, the employee there made a loud phone call outside. When we asked for a little more quiet, we were approached very rude. Unfortunately, this was not the first time, we simply lack the warmth that we got to know at other golf clubs. It is just more fun to play golf when the appreciation and etiquette are given. It's a shame because we like the seats very much.
