I managed to discover friendly Pro David Thomas, also originally from Brisbane Australia at this delightful, grassy & challenging course. Received great help hiring clubs & advice, enjoyed playing 3 rounds in damp & rainy conditions (April 2009).
Very much looking forward to return games in 2012 when course is to be extended to 18 holes.

Very well-maintained 18-hole course

In May, we played the first 9 holes of the 18-hole course with Dein Golf Plus. Unfortunately, we had another appointment; otherwise, we would have loved to play all 18 holes. The pro shop was very friendly, and scheduling the appointment went smoothly. The course is very well maintained, with tees, fairways, and greens in excellent condition. It's beautifully situated in the landscape, offering many lovely views of the truly fantastic clubhouse. Sadly, we didn't have time to try the restaurant. But we'll definitely be back for another round. A definite thumbs up from us!

The 9-hole and 18-hole courses are located separately. From the hotel with the 9-hole course, you have to cross a country road at a set of traffic lights and then circle an ADAC practice area.
We played the 18-hole course in mid-September 2025. The greens had been aerated and the tees had been sent. Everything had been communicated in advance via the website.
A friendly welcome in the impressive clubhouse. Good practice facilities: chipping/pitching greens and a putting green. The DR has older, somewhat hard mats.
We liked the layout of the course. The trees planted indicate that it will become even more interesting over the years when everything is fully grown.
Given the topography, the use of a cart is definitely advisable, although sporty golfers can also tackle the course on foot.
We couldn't use the catering for our wedding reception, so we opted for the estate tavern in the cellar vaults near the 9-hole course/hotel. The menu is clear and tasty.
We can definitely recommend a round.
