I managed to discover friendly Pro David Thomas, also originally from Brisbane Australia at this delightful, grassy & challenging course. Received great help hiring clubs & advice, enjoyed playing 3 rounds in damp & rainy conditions (April 2009).
Very much looking forward to return games in 2012 when course is to be extended to 18 holes.

We had been a member for a few years, had to take one year out for health reasons and now wanted to rejoin. But unfortunately that has now been done. Even though we were no longer members, we played golf at the chicken farm when our health was working again. So also on Sunday on the 9-hole course. When we were still using the driving ranch a little after the game, the employee there made a loud phone call outside. When we asked for a little more quiet, we were approached very rude. Unfortunately, this was not the first time, we simply lack the warmth that we got to know at other golf clubs. It is just more fun to play golf when the appreciation and etiquette are given. It's a shame because we like the seats very much.

First to me to understand my rating. Am a sporty VCG player (HCP 15 last year HCP 25), self-employed, in his 40s looking for a club in the eastern Rhein-Main area together with his wife (HCP 18). Know the GC Hühnerhof from training, practice rounds and a few tournaments. We played all relevant clubs Seligenstadt, Altenstadt, Bad Orb, Träges, Hanau and also Groß Zimmern several times. Mostly during the week, but also on WE.
First of all to the plant:
9 hole course very demanding, wavy, very nice location, well maintained, greens but rather slow, not super loyal, but somehow nice. 4 stars.
Training equipment actually good, but very hard old mats, ball quality ok, basket 2.50 36 balls, little goals on the range. Good pitching arena, practice green ok, but like greens rather slow and double. 3-4 stars.
Pros Peter Jacobi and Fabian Ochse very competent coaches, who have improved me technically fast, but will not be there in 2020, therefore only 2 stars 18 hole course: spacious, great view over the Kinzig valley, course design quite good, very long, Faiways of the drought sometimes heavily taken, unfortunately very few fairway bunkers, at hole 6 unkempt mounds, greens very hoppy, slow, a lot of moss, tea boxes, not well mowed, only yellow and red stuck, flag position often not in the right place according to Ausflaggung, Exercise range quite, unfortunately also hard old mats, 3-4 star tournaments: in relation to other Very, very few tournaments. 1stern.
Clubhouse: The restaurant Heckers, with terrific views, is a relatively expensive for the country in my opinion restaurant and no clubhouse, there seems little or no club life to give the club (notices etc) in the basement (on the way to the showers) instead of.
