Characteristics
The course is one of the most beautiful ones in northern Germany and is nestling in the beautiful landscape of the Welper Wald owned by the count of Merveldt. The holes are arranged around the historic Welpe manor and mainly framed by a population of very old trees. The design requirement of saving the veritable population of old trees led to highly-sophisticated and narrow holes. A textbook example of a landscape golf course.

We've been to GC Vechta several times now. We always enjoy the course. It's very varied.
Add to that the friendly team and the excellent food. The ambiance in the restaurant and on the terrace also always appeals to us.
Always a lovely day of golf as a guest.

The 18-hole golf course is beautifully and idyllically located in the middle of a forest. No two courses are the same.
The layout boasts plenty of doglegs, water hazards, undulating fairways and very large greens, offering pure variety. The tees in particular often offer a park-like view. Some of these are located in aisles, with winding paths to the fairway. Visually very nicely laid out and generally in good condition.
The club restaurant offers a clear menu with a selection of typical golf course fare, but always fresh and of outstanding quality. Inside you sit in a stylish barn setting, outside you can sit in some cozy niches between the hedges.
We enjoyed it very much.
