Characteristics
Idyllically situated in the heart of Mainfranken, this course is enveloped by the Main. The holes on the about 70 ha large area follow the course of the Main. The holes 1 to 9 are situated in the north-west of the district Mainsondheim, the holes 10 to 18 in the north-east. Not only the 650 sq. m large, multi-levelled greens but also the up to 2,5 m deep bunkers that demand precision. At the 17th hole there is an island green that has to be played across a 40 m wide pool.

Fantastic view, excellent greens, delicious food

I love the view of the vineyards, whether in the morning or evening – it's always breathtaking. The greens are impeccably maintained, and thankfully the members take it seriously and fill in any inclusions they make on the greens.
The 18 holes are varied, not all easy but beautiful, as you have to play over ponds or around trees and there is space.
The roughs are currently mowed short - so it's easier to find your balls again :-)
The restaurant is absolutely fantastic for a golf club! The owners are incredibly friendly, they cater to every request, and we really enjoyed the Asian food! They also have pasta with cream sauce and schnitzel for the kids!

We played a summer green fee – 9 hole round at the end of July 2026.
We received a very friendly welcome and the formalities were handled quickly and professionally.
There are no tee times at this club, so there can sometimes be waiting times at the first tee. However, this allows you to chat with other players.
The place is in a quiet location; in some places, old fruit trees lined the fairways and their access paths.
The fairways - some with views of the vineyards - are wide enough to allow for a smooth game, the greens are large, fast and well maintained.
Due to the persistent dry summer weather, the fairways were partly dry, but the club can't do anything about the weather.
The large terrace is a great place to relax after the game.
A restaurant serving Asian-Italian-German dishes is initially confusing, but the menu is well-structured and the service was generally friendly.
You can pay with a Girocard (EC card) in restaurants.
Unfortunately, Mainsondheim Castle is not part of the golf club.
We'd love to play another round sometime.

Beautifully situated flat course. No tee times. We played 18 holes today. An e-caddy is advisable, however. Lots of limestone gravel paths. Lots of dust.
We took advantage of the 2 for 1 offer, after making a reservation by phone. We were in the clubhouse shortly before 9 a.m. The office opened at 9 a.m. sharp and we had the impression that the staff were not particularly happy that someone was already on the mat. The administrative process for the green fee and e-caddy was quick and easy. However, we noticed that the staff were not wearing uniforms or name tags. We had to get the e-caddy out of the hall ourselves and unplug the charging cable ourselves. In addition, the vehicle was not cleaned and the windows were dusty, but this did not detract from the enjoyment of the game. We are not familiar with this, but perhaps it is common there.
After the game we went to the clubhouse. Here too the service staff were in "civilian clothes", without uniforms and you can only guess who is staff or guest. Unfortunately our food was on the level of an "ASIA-Döner" and WARNING, the restaurant is "cash fan" and stubbornly refused to accept payment by credit card. Not accepting cards in the clubhouse of a golf club these days is completely unrealistic. This attitude reflects the ASIA-Döner impression.
