My last visit here was in 2013, after this round I wonder why. Still the best greens in the greater Hannover area, perfectly maintained fairways and a very varied layout. The previously "unplayable" par 4 hole 11 has thankfully been converted into a still challenging par 3. Very friendly office and after the round a worthwhile Italian hole 19 - sorry, clubhouse restaurant. I'd love to come back - not in 11 years!

As a pensioner (HC around -20) I prefer flatter courses, that's what I've said in advance. As mentioned several times here, the course offers a great panorama and it's very interesting to play, but it was too strenuous for me. You may see it differently!
A defensive game is recommended, the fairways are sometimes very narrow. Obstacles or even the out of play lurk everywhere. The course was built in a forest. Nothing was designed here, everything was left very pragmatically as it was. This has its own charm. Holes 10,11 and 12 are spectacular, then on holes 13 to 16 you feel like you are on a forest meadow. That is to be taken literally: I played in April, the course had only just been reopened after a very rainy winter. The fairway of the 13th was unmown. I had to push my cart uphill through tall grass, only to find that my excellent drive was untraceable between the daisies. A low point of this round.
However, when I pushed my cart steeply up from the 16th to the 17th, then back down again because my tee shot didn't hit the extremely narrow fairway, but rather the 16th, and in the process found my previously lost ball, and finally hit the green in regulation, I temporarily felt that strange satisfaction that you feel as a golfer from time to time.
That was all over again on the 18th, because it is a truly extraordinary double dogleg. The tiny green is so deep in the forest and around the corner that you can hardly believe it. That alone makes a round worth it.
The greens are bumpy, but beautifully undulating.
Here's a tip from friends: The clubhouse has little to do with the course in terms of space. To get to the driving range and all the tees, you have to walk through a deep valley. There is a parking lot for hikers down there, which is very convenient. I parked just in front of the office to pay the green fee, then drove down to the parking lot to play, and then, when I was exhausted, drove back up to the clubhouse to shower. I was grateful that I was spared this final climb.

The golf course is hilly throughout and offers a great view over the North German lowlands and towards the Weser and Wiehen mountains from many tees and greens.
The lanes don't seem overly long, but none of the lanes are really flat, there's always a slight up and down. First of all - an e-trolley helps, an e-cart makes the round of golf more relaxed. The layout often requires strategically placed shots. Some tracks are quite narrow, there are deductions from aisles, over crests, depressions, blind - but wide - landing zones. No track is like the other, pure variety.
The first 9 lanes are a little more open, the back 9 then go through the forest, with tall trees lining the lanes. With holes 10,11,12 (par 4, par 3, par 4), the so-called "Bermuda Triangle" awaits, in which some players are said to have lost their very good score of the first 9 holes...
Getting a good score on this golf course takes more than just one round - until you know the areas from which you can continue playing comfortably. The place does not get boring quickly and is never unfair.
After the round you can sit very nicely on the terrace of the clubhouse in the golf restaurant with outstanding, original Italian cuisine. The stop is a must - the restaurant is also visited by many foreign guests - which underlines the cordial treatment and the very good quality again.
We were there with the mobile home. There are 3 designated RV sites to the rear of the lot. Very quiet. Even power supply is available!
