Nice ambience and good food, but unexpected additional costs spoil the impression

Today, due to a bereavement, we were in the restaurant with seven people and had a separate room.
The ambiance was very pleasant—calm, stylish, and tastefully decorated. We particularly enjoyed the table decorations, which were beautiful.
The service was extremely friendly, attentive, and welcoming. We all enjoyed the food very much, too – a big compliment to the kitchen for that.
However, we were somewhat disappointed about two points:
No Parmesan cheese was served with our pasta dishes. Upon request, we were given a small bowl, which was immediately emptied for seven people. However, this was charged at €4.50—a price we felt was excessive for such a small amount, especially since Parmesan cheese is a common accompaniment to Italian pasta dishes.
When setting down a water bottle, a glass was accidentally slightly damaged (a small piece of the rim chipped off). We were also charged €5 for this, without any prior notice.
We paid on trust without immediately checking the invoice in detail. Only afterward, upon reviewing it, did we notice that these additional items had been charged.
In total, we paid over €300 for seven people and gave an additional €19 tip because we were really satisfied with the service and food.

Still great

My last visit here was in 2013, after this round I wonder why. Still the best greens in the greater Hannover area, perfectly maintained fairways and a very varied layout. The previously "unplayable" par 4 hole 11 has thankfully been converted into a still challenging par 3. Very friendly office and after the round a worthwhile Italian hole 19 - sorry, clubhouse restaurant. I'd love to come back - not in 11 years!

As a pensioner (HC around -20) I prefer flatter courses, that's what I've said in advance. As mentioned several times here, the course offers a great panorama and it's very interesting to play, but it was too strenuous for me. You may see it differently!
A defensive game is recommended, the fairways are sometimes very narrow. Obstacles or even the out of play lurk everywhere. The course was built in a forest. Nothing was designed here, everything was left very pragmatically as it was. This has its own charm. Holes 10,11 and 12 are spectacular, then on holes 13 to 16 you feel like you are on a forest meadow. That is to be taken literally: I played in April, the course had only just been reopened after a very rainy winter. The fairway of the 13th was unmown. I had to push my cart uphill through tall grass, only to find that my excellent drive was untraceable between the daisies. A low point of this round.
However, when I pushed my cart steeply up from the 16th to the 17th, then back down again because my tee shot didn't hit the extremely narrow fairway, but rather the 16th, and in the process found my previously lost ball, and finally hit the green in regulation, I temporarily felt that strange satisfaction that you feel as a golfer from time to time.
That was all over again on the 18th, because it is a truly extraordinary double dogleg. The tiny green is so deep in the forest and around the corner that you can hardly believe it. That alone makes a round worth it.
The greens are bumpy, but beautifully undulating.
Here's a tip from friends: The clubhouse has little to do with the course in terms of space. To get to the driving range and all the tees, you have to walk through a deep valley. There is a parking lot for hikers down there, which is very convenient. I parked just in front of the office to pay the green fee, then drove down to the parking lot to play, and then, when I was exhausted, drove back up to the clubhouse to shower. I was grateful that I was spared this final climb.
