Great Place

We finally played this course (founded in 1930). Very well maintained, fairways through old forest, then open terrain.
The greens were fast today and had to be read well.
Some water hazards and delicious pot bunkers. The size of some of the bunkers makes you smile and think that sand must have been cheaper in the past!
Spacious clubhouse with very good food; friendly staff and, above all, club members who welcome guest players.
I'd be happy to come again.

Parklane or links course!? Both!!

We visited this course on our campervan tour because we knew the pro who worked there from earlier days and finally wanted to visit him. He took Monday off and so we played a round together as soon as we arrived with the campervan in the parking lot (where we were able to stay overnight). The course was - as described quite well here - developed from an older 9-hole course and 9 new holes were built, which are very different in character from the older holes. So it is partly parkland (like the first holes) and then suddenly more like links golf. On the other hand, that has its charm, but it doesn't make the course look "all of a piece". But that didn't bother us so much.
What is a little annoying, however, is the narrowness of some of the fairways and the fact that the rough remains in the forest (wouldn't it be better and easier to spread bark mulch here, which would also make it easier to find misaligned balls??) We still had fun on the round, and the friendliness of the players we met, as well as all the staff, was striking. And I don't just attribute this to the pro we were with. In the evening, when we wanted to shower, a very friendly gentleman let us into the clubhouse (only open to members on Mondays with a chip card). The clubhouse with impressive and modern showers (although in the men's changing room with very old-fashioned wardrobes) houses a very chic restaurant, which was unfortunately closed on Monday - which is why we probably want to come back again, the terrace on hole 18 just looked too good!!
Mannheim Viernheim is a place that can be reached quickly via the motorway and therefore certainly attracts players from further afield - but especially from Mannheim itself. The training facilities are great, but since the BuLi is also played here, you have to have that!
We really enjoyed the visit and would of course recommend that everyone book some lessons there (they certainly wouldn't have hurt me that day).

Pleasant!

The course between or partly in the Käfertal forest and the motorway is a good course, a mixture of traditional or excellent holes and good average.

The club offers good infrastructure for training and club life - between tradition and modernity. The clubhouse and changing rooms are large and well-designed, but the area is relatively spacious.

Due to the rather flat and sandy terrain, the course can be played all year round and in difficult weather conditions and is easily accessible by car. The greens and fairways are generally outstanding - like the club teams of recent years.
