Föhrenauer Straße 8/4, A-2821 Lanzenkirchen, Lower Austria, Austria

Characteristics

As early as 2013, the Linsberg spa had the idea for its own golf course. After four years of detailed planning, the time had come: In July 2017, the groundbreaking ceremony for the 18-hole course took place. For the course design, the Canadian-Irish architect Jeff Howes was won, who already completely redesigned the neighboring partner club GC Föhrenwald a few years ago. A central role in the design of Linsberg Golf is played by the characteristic elements of a links course. The local landscape of Wiener Neustadt-Land offers the ideal conditions to recreate the original and challenging golf courses of Great Britain - where golf has its roots. Nonetheless, Linsberg Golf will be a thoroughly modern golf club. This includes, among other things, that the place will be playable with e-carts. The course will be playable from May 2019.

Very nice

Ideal to start at the beginning of the season, a very well maintained course with no pitfalls, easy to play.

Nice place

We played this course for the first time in July 2021 at the end of a Lower Austria golf tour. Since we had already heard many different opinions about this place, we were excited.
Basically we were pleasantly surprised, the place is well maintained and also "well furnished". Tracks rather short and not very varied. Recommended for a quick, relaxed lap at any time.
Bistro with a nice offer and nice service, sanitary facilities with lockable boxes and showers also functional.
The only negative memory is the unfriendly and impolite receptionist, which is a shame, because that also makes the difference whether you come back. When we came back after the round, he was smoking at the entrance and this encounter remains unpleasant in our memories. Training here is highly recommended - what a shame for the first impression.

Pure golf- stress-free

Add to my report a year ago:

The place is ready "furnished": benches, trash cans, ball washers and water dispensers have been installed. The distance pegs are also set. There is a toilet at the back of the forest. Only a few shelters would still be good...
The little trees will still grow - but the rough is already quite dense, so that some balls have already disappeared... and will only appear again in winter.
Even after heavy rain, the course is easy to play on, with the exception of a few smaller paints, water runs off well.
In general, the place is always in great care, the greens as beautiful as a living room carpet.

In the evenings and mornings often great mood with reflections in the lake and Schneeberg in the background.

The bistro has also blossomed: farmer's toast, cheese sausages, but also sandwiches with a whistle expand the range. There is no restaurant - the small bistro fits the line: everything is easy going - no exaggerations...
