The Golfclub Königshof Sittensen is situated 50 km away from both Hamburg and Bremen, in a typical Geest landscape with sandy heath ground. Golfers will here, directly at the autobahn, find an additional challenge with 18 demanding holes spread over a 60 ha large area. The playful, demanding course with numerous hills, hollows, biotopes and water hazards is good for many surprises. The symbiosis between old and new holes succeeded very well.

The course itself is relatively pleasant, with very wide fairways and quite fast greens. However, the majority of holes are simply straight, which isn't particularly exciting. Holes that stood out were the 4th (concrete wall in the bunker), the 11th (a par 3 over trees), and the 15th (a truly extreme dogleg). The rest was a lot of easy play, some of it quite long, as was the path between holes 7 and 8. Yes, the motorway is sometimes audible, which certainly depends on the wind direction. If the course weren't so affordable (especially with Golfamore), I would have only given it 3 stars. The restaurant is highly recommended; it really surprised me.

We've played the course twice now and will definitely play there again when we're in the area. The course is in very good condition. The greens were easy to play and are in good condition. Flat course with short distances between the green and the next tee. In April 2023 in good condition with the exception of the greens, which probably need a little more time to get to the standard condition due to the season.
The layout is not exactly exceptional, but quite varied. Especially on the back nine some long holes, which also challenge the long hitter. Overall absolutely fair. Small drawback: the nearby A1 can be seen and heard from some railways. However, that didn't bother us. The practice area includes two pitching greens, two putting greens and a driving range. The latter is of sufficient length and still has potential in terms of the goals to be played.
We experienced an open, friendly atmosphere in all areas and can definitely recommend a visit.
