Unfortunately I cannot give a good rating here. A seat reservation that I made in June was canceled on the day of arrival (tournament / registration numbers). My wife and I tailored our 14-day vacation to this stay. One week in Italy and one week in Austria and finally 18 holes on the golf course with a previous overnight stay in a hotel. Since it was a Christmas present from our son (booked through Jochen Schweizer), we could not cancel this voucher at such short notice. So we only had to play 9 lanes on Friday (the visit to the city of Nuremberg had to be canceled). As compensation, for a detour of over 400 km we got a green fee reduction of!!! 5, - € / person!!! offered. The manual trolley was also available for free. As already written, the cancellation of our booked 18 lanes was made by telephone on the day of our arrival by the GC!!! For this reason I cannot give a recommendation in the best case scenario. Dear reader of these lines, please believe me that I am really not a fan of such reviews, but in this case... the problems, based on a really bad and unprofessional organization on the part of the GC, became 100% those of the guest. ..

We were in Fahrenbach with 9 people in September. Even if not all of our group played golf, we all enjoyed it very much. The non-golfers could walk excellently and the golfers had very interesting flights in Fahrenbach, Bayreuth and Franzensbad in the best weather.
The course in Fahrenbach is easy to play with a little getting used to and invites you to improve your handicap. It is very varied and offers many views of the Upper Palatinate landscape. The long way to lane 10 alone does not quite match the good overall impression.
The secretariat, hotel service and catering were also to be commended with the exception of the buffets.
When booking a Fahrenbach voucher an absolutely inexpensive and recommendable short vacation. That is probably why so many repeat offenders were on site.
