Characteristics
The golf course of the Golf-Club Edelstein-Hunsrück e.V. was built at the heights of the Hunsrück on a slightly hilly terrain alongside the forest. Despite the relatively small overall length, the holes are still demanding because of the strategically well placed bunkers and water hazards and two long par 3. Numerous sloping positions and shifting winds make the game more difficult.

Nice place in a hilly landscape.

Well-kept, varied 9-hole course that is easy to play for guests with some challenging fairways that - despite the previous drought - have surprisingly green fairways at the beginning of June 2023. The wonderful view over the heights of the Hunsrück was fun and the wind didn't always make "golfing work" easy. Check-in at the secretariat was very hospitable and completely relaxed/uncomplicated. We were able to start straight away and enjoy our lap. There are 2 different tees for men and women per hole, which in a full round of 18 results in new positions/situations in addition to those that you have imposed on yourself anyway. It is worth playing in Kirschweiler; we "tasted" the place, although the cherries on the square of this hamlet were far from ripe. We'll be back.

My wife and I were allowed to play the course with an older gentlemen together in flight. That was delightfully entertaining. All players on the pitch and also the receptionist are very friendly.

It pays to play golf there. The place is very well maintained and interesting to play. The two par-3 holes are relatively long and tricky and should not be underestimated. Water does not come often, but dangerous to the game - Warning!
You should already have a decent condition, two long tracks, while not steep, but steadily going uphill, well to master.
After the round, you can look forward to beautiful, new and spacious changing rooms and shower areas and a fine meal on the stunning clubhouse terrace with view across the square and the hills of the Hunsrück.
For training Hardworking there is a very wide and good driving range, unfortunately, only a tiny pitching, chipping and putting green, practice bunker and also the small lures not much. Beginners can - as often as they like - play the 3-hole short course, but also does not really happy. But there is a great pro who is very well known in Germany and offers excellent teaching (Horst Goerke).
