The slightly hilly course with a wonderful view is situated in the middle of the Bergisches Land in the tri-city area Remscheid/Wermelskirchen/Hückeswagen. The 18 holes are spaciously arranged on a 72 ha large area and offer numerous challenges. For instance sloping positions, natural roughs, bunkers and large hanging greens. Driving range, training bunker, pitching and putting green as well as grass tees invite for training sessions.

Golf in the Bergisches Land

After a few years I played the course in the quite scenically absolutely quiet, but charming and hilly area in the Bergisches Land again on 22.9.2018. Not quite as athletic Ambitious, by the way, a cart is recommended. What I have noticed extremely are the really large and mostly well-kept greens. In addition, some biotopes and water hazards are overplay. Higher HC should also have some balls because of the sometimes dense rough or forest. Very interesting is hole 17 (PAR 3), where you have to play from an increased tee over two biotopes or directly at full risk to the right directly on green, which is a purely visual challenge. The condition was not ideal everywhere but after the dry summer again almost fine. Members should be encouraged a bit more to eliminate their pitch marks on the greens. The clubhouse with adjoining restaurant looks very imposing. There, or on the Greenfeebriefkasten, you pay the appropriate green fee, unless you have no DGV badge (Golden Hologram). The hilly parkland course was in perfect condition despite a prolonged dry period.
